Laser Therapy

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) hair removal is a non-invasive treatment that uses broad-spectrum light to target and heat the pigment in hair follicles, inhibiting future hair growth. The light energy is absorbed by the melanin in the hair, damaging the follicle without affecting the surrounding skin.

The typical protocol involves multiple sessions spaced a few weeks apart (depending on the area of the body and previous treatments) to target hair during different growth cycles. Before treatment, the area is shaved, and protective goggles are worn. After the session, mild redness or swelling may occur, but side effects are generally minimal. IPL offers a long-term reduction in hair growth, though maintenance sessions may be needed.

IPL Skin Rejuvenation

IPL can also be used to improve skin texture, tone and elasticity. It uses heat and a broad-spectrum wavelength of light which works to target specific skin structures known as ‘chromophores’, including thread veins, pigmentation, acne, melasma, rosacea, papules and cysts. The heat from the device serves to encourage collagen production, cleanse the pores and prevent free radical damage, which can lead to aging.

The procedure typically requires several sessions, spaced a few weeks apart, to achieve optimal results. During treatment, a cooling gel is applied to the skin, and protective goggles are worn. Afterwards, there may be slight redness or mild swelling, which usually subsides within hours. IPL skin rejuvenation offers a more youthful and even complexion with minimal downtime and is suitable for most skin types.

This is a good option for thinner, more sensitive skins who have concerns of pigmentation, uneven skin tone and signs of aging.

Laser Tattoo and Permanent Makeup Removal

Laser tattoo removal using Nd:YAG technology is an effective method for removing tattoos and permanent makeup. The Nd:YAG laser emits a high-intensity light that targets the ink pigments in the skin, breaking them down into smaller particles, which are then naturally eliminated by the body’s immune system. This technology works well for various tattoo colours, including stubborn inks.

The treatment typically requires multiple sessions, spaced several weeks apart, to fully remove the tattoo or permanent makeup. During the procedure, the area may feel like a rubber band snapping against the skin. Nd:YAG laser removal is known for being safe and precise, with minimal risk of scarring or damage to the surrounding skin

Prices vary depending on size of tattoo and sessions needed.

Carbon Laser Peel

Carbon laser peels, are a non-invasive facial treatment that combine laser technology with activated charcoal to deeply cleanse and rejuvenate the skin. During the procedure, a thin layer of liquid charcoal is applied to the skin, which absorbs oil, dirt, and impurities. A laser is then passed over the skin, causing the charcoal to heat up and exfoliate the surface, while the laser energy penetrates deeper to stimulate collagen production, strengthen elastin and improve skin texture.

This treatment is effective for reducing acne, controlling oil production, tightening pores, and brightening the complexion. It’s gentle, with minimal downtime, and is suitable for most skin types. Results typically include smoother, clearer, and more radiant skin after a single session, though multiple treatments may be recommended for optimal results.

This is a good option for someone who has combination – oily skin experiencing breakouts, congestion and open pores. It is also great for skins that wish to start taking anti-aging treatments more seriously and is one of my favourite treatments to use pre event for that glow!
